Fall Photos

If you are from Virginia, you know that one of the best times of year for updated photos is the Fall. You can't beat a beautiful autumn back drop with all the brown, orange, and red colors surrounding you. The humidity is non-existent and the cool crisp air just brings us all closer together. For photographers, this is the busiest season for family photos. I always recommend to my clients to book those spots early, because they fill so fast!

And just remember, you don't have to just book in the Fall, there are many different ways you can still have outstanding family photos throughout the year. The winter is a great time for those cozy home sessions, this is great for any family session, maternity, or newborn. The home is the perfect place to tell YOUR story, and I'm all for it! Just think, outdoor bon fire with roasted marshmallows and smores with your littles? followed by fresh baked cookies with the help from those tiny hands in the kitchen, cookie battered spoons, a warm blanket by the fire, and your favorite family board games.

...and as Spring and Summer approach, what about those times in the backyard with the kids running through the sprinkler, bubbles floating through the air, the sounds of laughter, and sticky watermelon faces. These are the small moments we should capture!
